TAKARA tool & die co. Ltd, a company known for manufacturing precision tooling and equipment for resin sealing in semiconductor post-process, empowers discrete semiconductor manufacturers to achieve high yields in mass production. It has honed its processes by blending cutting-edge design and fabrication techniques that deliver remarkable results in even large-scale manufacturing endeavors.
“Our commitment to advanced tooling capabilities, alongside equipment that optimizes tooling functions, lays the foundation of our business. It drives our pursuit of superior products, enabling us to consistently surpass customer expectations,” says Masaharu Yonezu, board Member, TAKARA.
Central to its strategy is the emphasis on perfecting the tooling itself, recognizing its direct impact on the final product’s quality. It combines leading-edge technology with traditional craftsmanship to achieve unmatched precision. It invests in state-of-the-art machinery and values the importance of hand-polishing, using each method based on the unique properties of the materials in production. This approach ensures cost-effectiveness while maintaining the desired quality standards. TAKARA highly regards the skill and expertise of its professionals, recognizing that certain processes require years of mastery, and upholds tradition to ensure lasting excellence in its tooling.
TAKARA showcased its expertise when a client required specialized equipment and tooling for manufacturing liquid silicone-based LEDs, a distinctive specification compared to conventional semiconductor or LED production methods. The client turned to TAKARA, after its initial collaboration with another company to develop the production line, yielded unsuccessful results. TAKARA successfully developed the equipment and tooling in accordance with the requirements.
Prototype creation and mass production endeavors are the two areas where it excels. It collaborates closely with esteemed semiconductor and material manufacturers to develop prototype processes, addressing obstacles directly and ensuring successful sales. When it comes to mass production, it exercises utmost caution, as errors have far-reaching consequences. It has implemented a proprietary process control system to uphold stringent quality standards, diligently adhering to plans and procedures.
In addition to manufacturing semiconductor tooling, TAKARA specializes in producing tooling for watches, stamping dies, electronic components, and injection molding using thermoplastics that serve medical products and other industries. Its equipment division manufactures post-processing equipment for semiconductors such as Molding and Trim and Form equipment.
In response to shifting market dynamics and production relocation to Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and China, TAKARA embarked on a bold expansion. It expanded its operations by creating a subsidiary in Taiwan, enhancing sales support, and increasing its presence through the establishment of new offices in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
TAKARA consistently exceeds client expectations, making it the trusted partner for clients in diverse industries seeking specialized tooling and equipment.
